Terms
These are the conditions of a seat at The Battle of Traditions, held in the VETTii showroom at 526 Tremont Street, Boston.
What you are buying
A seat for one person at one evening, on the date shown at the time of purchase. We ask for a name for every seat so the door knows who to expect and the kitchen knows whose plate is whose, but a seat is not locked to that person: if you cannot come, someone else may use it. Tell us at the door if a name has changed, and tell us at once if an allergy came with it.
The kitchens cook one menu for the room. We cannot serve a different evening to one table.
Age: 21 and over
Wine is served through the evening, so this is a 21+ event. Photo ID is checked at the door for every guest, without exception, and a guest who cannot show one will not be admitted and will not be refunded.
You confirm this for everyone on your booking when you buy, not when you arrive.
Allergies and what you do not eat
Tell us when you book -- one box per guest, so the kitchen knows whose plate it is -- and it will work around it wherever it can. We will always tell you honestly if it cannot.
This is a working showroom kitchen, not a laboratory: the same surfaces and the same pans are used for every dish, so we cannot promise the absence of any ingredient. If a trace would be dangerous to you, please do not rely on us.
If the evening changes
If we move the date, you may take the new date or have all of your money back, whichever you prefer. That is true however close to the evening it happens, and it overrides the refund schedule entirely.
If you cannot make the new date and do not ask for anything, we refund you anyway.
Photographs
The evenings are photographed, and the pictures are used on this site and on the two Instagram accounts in the footer. Tell us at the door if you would rather not appear and the photographer will work around you.
Behaviour
There are open flames, hot pans and knives in the room. Please stay out of the working side of the kitchens unless you are invited in.
We may ask a guest to leave if they are putting other guests or the kitchen at risk. A seat ended this way is not refunded.
Your details
We keep your name, your address and what you told us about allergies, and we use them for this evening and to tell you about the next one. Nothing is sold and nothing is shared beyond the kitchens cooking for you.
Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach this site.
