This page says what this site knows about you, why, and how to make it forget. It describes what the site actually does, not what a template says a site might do.

The short version

We ask for an address so we can tell you when seats open, and for a name and any allergies so the door and the kitchen know who is coming and what not to cook. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and there is no tracking of you across other websites.

Who takes the money

The evenings are run by Navona Group in Boston, and that is the name that will appear on your card statement rather than the name of this site. Writing to the address at the foot of this page reaches the same people.

What you type in

If you only leave your address on the landing page, that address is all we hold, along with which side you said you were on.

If you book a seat we also hold: a name for each seat, whatever each guest wrote about allergies and what they do not eat, the confirmation that everyone attending is old enough, how many seats, what was paid, and the reference number.

What the site notes by itself

Which link brought you here -- the printed flyer, Instagram, an email, or none of them -- and the name your browser gives about itself.

Your address on the internet is never stored and never written to a log. What is stored is a one-way scramble of it, which lets us spot the same machine signing up thirty times and cannot be turned back into the original.

Allergies

What you write in the allergy box is read by the kitchens cooking that evening and by the person on the door, and by nobody else. It is kept beside the seat it belongs to rather than beside the booking, so a party of five is not handed to the kitchen as one anonymous note.

Card details

Your card number never reaches this site. Payment happens on a page belonging to Stripe, who hold the card and tell us only that a booking was paid, along with their own reference for it. We could not see your card number if we wanted to.

Who else it passes through

Four companies, each doing one job: Stripe takes the payment, Resend delivers the email, Supabase stores the database, and Vercel runs the site. They act on our instructions and each publishes its own privacy terms.

Nobody else. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with advertisers, and there is no analytics company watching this site.

Cookies, and Do Not Track

There are no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies on the public pages. The only cookie the site sets is the one that keeps staff signed in to the private side, and you will never meet it.

Because no third party is watching you here, a Do Not Track signal from your browser changes nothing about how this site behaves. There is nothing following you across other sites for it to switch off.

How long it is kept

An address left for the announcement is kept until you unsubscribe, and every email we send carries a link that does it in one click.

A booking is kept as the record of money taken and of a seat sold. That is what a payment record is for, and it is the one thing we cannot delete on request while it is still needed for the accounts.

Changing it, or having it deleted

Write to hello@houseofvettii.com and say what you want. We will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and we will say plainly if something has to stay and why.

Asking to be forgotten costs you nothing and does not affect a seat you have already paid for.

Nobody under 21

This is a 21+ evening, so the site is not meant for anyone younger and we do not knowingly keep details about anyone younger. If you think we have some, write and it will be removed.

If this page changes

The date at the top changes with it. If a change ever means we would use what we already hold for something new, we will say so by email before doing it, not afterwards.
